Endorsed.me is a service operated by Lovio Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), the data controller for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who this policy is for

Endorsed.me is a directory where wedding suppliers are recognised through endorsements from other suppliers who worked alongside them. This policy applies to wedding suppliers (whether they have claimed a profile or not), couples and others who contact suppliers through the site, and general visitors.

The data we collect

Supplier profiles. Business name, category, region, website, social handles, a business contact email, logo or images, and the endorsements, tags, weddings and venues associated with the profile. Some profiles are created by us from publicly available information before the supplier has claimed them (see “Profiles we create”).

Account and claim data. When a supplier claims or creates a profile: name, email, and verification details (for example a code sent to a business email or domain).

Endorsement data. When a supplier endorses a peer, we record who endorsed whom, the shared wedding it relates to, and any tags. Private notes attached to an endorsement are not shown publicly.

Enquiries. When a couple or client contacts a supplier through the site: name, email, wedding date and message.

Billing data. For Pro subscribers, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive a customer and subscription reference and billing events, but we do not store full card details.

Technical and usage data. Basic analytics such as profile views and referrers, plus standard log and cookie data (see “Cookies”).

Profiles we create (unclaimed profiles)

To make the directory useful from day one, we create some supplier profiles using information that is already publicly available (for example a business website or public listing). We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in building a trustworthy, industry-wide directory, balanced against the limited, business-oriented nature of the information shown. If a profile relates to you or your business, you can claim it, ask us to correct it, ask us not to contact you, or ask us to remove it entirely at any time — see “Your rights” and the Data Requests page. Every unclaimed profile links to this policy and to an easy removal option.

Why we use your data and our lawful bases

• To provide and improve the directory — legitimate interests.
• To create and maintain unclaimed profiles from public information — legitimate interests.
• To operate supplier accounts, claims and Pro subscriptions — performance of a contract.
• To send marketing or updates to suppliers — consent, or legitimate interests for business-to-business messages, always with a one-click opt-out.
• To keep the platform trustworthy (verifying weddings, preventing gaming, handling disputes) — legitimate interests.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

Sharing your data

We share data only with service providers who help us run Endorsed.me, under appropriate safeguards: Stripe (payments), Resend (sending email), Supabase (database and hosting), Lovable (the platform the site is built and hosted on). We do not sell personal data. Supplier profile information (business name, category, region, endorsements and counts) is, by design, shown publicly on the directory. We may disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep data

We keep profile and account data for as long as the profile is active or the account exists, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Billing records are kept as required for accounting and tax. If you ask us to remove a profile or close an account, we delete or anonymise the data unless we must keep some of it by law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, use the Data Requests page or email hello@endorsed.me. We respond within one week.
